Ms. Leinster began piano studies at the age of 3 and viola and violin
studies at the age of 8. She has trained and performed with members
of the National Symphony Orchestra , the Boston Symphony Orchestra and
the Cleveland Orchestra before graduating high school. She studied at
the Cleveland Institute of Music for one year then received a B.A. degree
in Russian and Czech Language Studies at George Mason University in
Virginia. Ms. Leinster has performed at the American Opera Festival
(AIMS) in Graz, Austria in 1993 and 1997, and has performed under the
baton of Leonard Bernstein, with Yo-Yo Ma, Navah Perleman and other
celebrated musicians.
Ms. Leinster's repetoire list includes classical selections
from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries (Bach, Vivaldi, Handel); rags
and waltzes; Christian spiritual and traditional Jewish tunes; Irish
reels; and a selection of Broadway and Hollywood movie themes.
$250 an hour, $200 each additional hour. $75 for rehearsal. Slightly
reduced prices if the event is in STT. Higher
prices for St. Croix. Also available for engagements in the British
Virgin Islands.
